This internationally acclaimed cavalcade of Sex and Drag and Rock & Roll is considered "One of the most boisterous parties of the year," by the SF Chronicle, it's also "Sexy, campy, dragalicious, professionally executed and full of talent," espouses the SF Bay Times, and "Impressive, varied, and wild," advocates The Onion. The SFBG.com doles out righteous recognition, "Prepare to be amazed by the variety, astounded by the veracity, and properly impressed by the figurative and literal balls on display."

"The Drag King Contest is a mash-up of the Miss America Pageant, American Idol, Halloween and a Monster Truck Show," states impresario and emcee Fudgie Frottage, aka: "The Man with the Biggest Balls in Show Business."

Co-emcee, Sister Roma of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, 'The Most Photographed Nun in the World says: "Every year some of the Kings are so hot I come untucked. I can't wait to see which hunky butch studs come out this year!"

The 2012 star-studded event's special guest is actor Mo B. Dick who starred in John Water's film "Pecker" and the television series "Sex in the City". SFDK17 will showcase 2011 winners GenderQueer Society from San Jose, cabaret chanteuse extraordinaire The Indra, old skool rappers The Momma's Boyz, former SFDK title holders: Arty Fishal, Jay Walker and Delicio DelToro will be on board to keep the testosterone fueled show pumping. Most of all, the Drag King Contest would not be complete without the contestants!

Contestants are judged on talent, creativity, studliness, sex appeal, originality, humor, make-up/facial hair and fashion by the illustrious panel of local and nationally known celebrity judges.
